CLOTHESLINE, 2011-ongoing

Clothesline is an ongoing project containing an assemblage of thoughts written on discarded sheets and clothes by participants after experiencing 2407, The House Inside My Head video installation.  Using the concept of a quilt, the gathering of personal notes began in 2011, when this public interactive installation premiered at the Wynwood Art Fair hosted by the Lotus House.

Using the similar theme of meditating on domestic rituals, RPM’s labor-intensive collage is constructed through the act of sewing. Each piece starts from an individual and ends with a choir of ideas and rites of passages, creating a massive collection of unique personal histories of culture and time.
